Electric Candlelight
In 2024, I had the opportunity to shadow “The Captain” and Celeste for an episode of the WBLM Morning Show on 102.9 FM. While there, I was encouraged, and inspired, by The Captain to volunteer with WMPG Gorham/Portland. This led me down a life-changing rabbit hole where I met fellow radio enthusiasts (like myself) and enrolled in their Volunteer DJ Training Program. After my training, I was cleared for air, and in May 2025 I began subbing for other DJs at the station. Finally, in October 2025, station management decided I was ready to get my own time slot. This is how Electric Candlelight was born. Part passion project, part artistic expression, radio work has given me the chance to live out my childhood dreams of programming my own content for fans and first-time listeners to hear (and hopefully dance to). To tune in, I’m on every Sunday morning from 3–5 a.m. on 90.9 FM WMPG.

The Whyte Raccoon
I've been working on an L-00 12-fret guitar for over two years, and it's finally nearing completion. This special build is for a friend back in San Diego and features a stunning flamed maple back and sides, an Adirondack spruce top, a maple neck, and an ebony bridge and headplate, all complemented by a mother-of-pearl fretboard. The rosette in the picture showcases a single ring of abalone with black purfling, adding an elegant touch. My former colleagues at Bourgeois Guitars have nicknamed it the "Whyte Raccoon," a playful nod to the Bourgeois "Whyte Rabbit." While the original design features all-white details with holly binding and bridge, my version takes a darker twist, incorporating black ebony accents for the binding, butt wedge, heel cap, and more. I can't wait to see this guitar come to life and share its journey!
Music Adjacent Projects
I've been in a musical dry spell for quite some time. Without the constant cycle of band practices and upcoming shows, I’ve felt less compelled to write. However, my new role as a full-time Program Assistant for a local arts nonprofit has started to reignite my creative spark. Lately, my creative energy has been devoted to promoting Portland’s local art scene and contributing to the editing and development of a forthcoming book. While I can’t share all the details just yet, the project is being prepared for professional publication, with a planned release by the end of 2026. The book explores the fascinating intersection of guitars, science, machine learning, statistics, and artificial intelligence. Stay tuned... exciting things are on the horizon.
